Discription
Saddle leather is a material that has been used for centuries in the manufacture of high-end saddles. It is tanned using vegetable substances and acquires its water-repellent properties through the use of hot wax, which, by penetrating its structure, protects the leather from water while maintaining its elasticity. Over time and with use, the appearance of the leather changes - it gets scratched, its colour changes shade in the folds and takes on a noble, natural patina. In addition, the leather becomes more supple and durable the longer it is used. Saddle leather is prized for its raw beauty, durability and versatility, so that it is used not only for saddles, but also for a whole range of other leather products.
